Welcome Guide
What to Wear
1
Starting off with what not to wear: Neon, busy patterns, logos, tops exposing undergarments. As long as you avoid the previous, really any colors look great!
I love, love, love pastels! It matches the tone of the beach.
White and black has been a favorite of some of my clients.
Coordinate - do not necessarily match. Example: Hubby wears khakis with dark blue button down while wife wears tan top and dark blue skirt.
Comfort! Do not wear something that you are constantly tugging on, feel awkward in, or sits tight on you. We will be able to see the discomfort in our images.
Here is a Pinterest Board that I’m always adding outfit inspo to!
What to Expect at the Session
2
You will get an email reminder the day before the session, including time, place, and remaining balance. I arrive just a minute or so before our contracted time. I plan our times down to a T, so there is no reason for us to arrive more than a minute early.
Your remaining balance is due upon my arrival. That we can enjoy the session and do not have to worry about accidentally forgetting to settle the balance before I leave. You are welcome to pay in full in advance of the session.
With sunset sessions, I like to begin at the boardwalk (if there is one at our shooting location), next move to sitting by the dunes, then end at the water. For sunrise sessions, it’s swapped; water, dunes, then boardwalk.
You are welcome to have a shotlist or combinations written down so we do not forget anything you may want captured (like Granny + Aunt Jane). I would especially recommend this if you only book 30 minutes.
I will recommend the whole group, individual families, couples, siblings, and kid’s individuals. Other combinations will be up to you.
My style tends to be more traditional and posed. Feel free to show me pose ideas you love. I do my best to grab a few candids as well - such as the silly one shown here!
Once we are nearing the end of our time together, I will make a last call for requests.
Please note, the package chosen will reflect our maximum time together, myself or you can end the session early if we feel like we got what we want.
What to Expect After the Session
3
You will get an email reminder to pay remaining balance if for a reason outside our control it could not be paid at the start of the session. Such as no cell service.
Typically, 2 weeks maximum is my turnaround time. However, contracted gallery delivery is 30 days, as we can get very busy in the summer. Thank you for understanding that perfecting your gallery takes time!
Your gallery link will be sent to you via email. Google Photos is the free, high quality platform I use. You can download, share, and print! You will have printing rights!
I deliver ALL the good images! No paywall to purchase digitals. You get every single edited photo that I curate. The image counts on the pricing guide are an approximation.
Photoshop and re-edit requests are free of charge for up to 5 images. After 5 images, requests are $15/hour.
USB flash drive will be mailed to you.
Why is Maranda the best choice?

I suppose tooting my own horn is just part of owning a business, right?!
My work speaks for itself: Natural, colorful beach tones are prevalent in my images. No washed out skin towns here (as long as weather cooperates haha!)
I’m trustworthy: I do my utmost to imitate Jesus. Kindness and reasonableness are qualities I do my very best to show. No scams here!
My main career is marine biology. I do the sea turtle nesting on Cape San Blas, and I’m also the husbandry specialist at the Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center. Come by and see us on your trip! I’m happy to talk sea turtle, ocean, biology, ecology, all the nature things at our session! My client’s kids love finding things washed up on the beach and having me identify them.
My husband - Evan - is my go to assistant for weddings and elopements. He is wilderness first aid trained, so such a an asset to have on adventure elopements. He is also a great second shooter!
DOG LOVER HERE! Bring your fur baby to your session!
Rain Information
5
I would not be a Florida based photographer if I didn’t have a section discussing rain!
Coastal showers pop up daily. They come and go throughout the day. If coastal photographers cancelled every time rain was in the forecast, we would barely have any sessions.
About an hour before the session, I will reach out to you to discuss how the weather is looking.
Lightning: I will reschedule or cancel. Initial payment will be refunded if cancelled.
Light rain: We will shoot through it. If we are both available, we can reschedule. If we are not both available and you are not willing to shoot through, the initial payment is not refunded.
Heavy rain/downpour: I will reschedule or cancel. Initial payment will be refunded if cancelled.
If we have already begun the session and it starts to rain, we will shoot through unless lightning or a downpour arrives. If I can continue shooting but you do not want to, no refund will be given.
